If you dual-boot your computer with Windows XP and another operating system, you see an operating system selection menu on startup. If you typically boot into Windows XP and not the other operating system, you can speed up the dual-boot timeout value so that you do not wait so long for the boot process to select your default operating system and continue with the boot process. The default timeout value is 30 seconds but you can change this setting to 10. This gives you enough time to select the alternate operating system if you want but also speeds up the boot process.

Follow these steps:
1. Locate the boot.ini file on your computer. It is a hidden file by default;
It is usually located in C:\boot.ini.
2. Open the file with Notepad (which is what opens it by default).
3. Change the Timeout value to 10.
4. Select File/Save and close Notepad.

How to run iso file On PC

Many friends ask me about how to open .iso file? There are several way to open .iso file. I***8217;ll introduce 2 methods to open .iso file on ms windows.
Actually we call .iso as ISO image and it***8217;s contain a lot***8217;s of file inside one .iso file. ISO file is used to store data in CD ROM.

Method 1..

Download and install WinRar.
Once WinRaR installed, you open .iso file with WinRaR
Start WinRaR and drag your .iso file to it and you will be able to extract it as normal zip file.


Method 2..

Download and install Daemon Tools
Start Daemon Tools once it is installed.
Once started, you will see new icon at your system tray
Right click on the Daemon Tools icon at system tray and select ***8220;Virtual CD/DVD ROM***8221; -> ***8220;Set number of devices***8221; -> ***8220;1 drive***8221;
Once select, it will process for while.
After processed, Left Click on the Daemon Tools, select ***8220;Device 0: No Media***8221;
A file dialog window will pop up and now you can select your .iso file here and click Open
Now, open your ***8220;My Computer***8221;, you will see you have one more new ***8220;CD ROM drive***8221;, double click on the new ***8220;CD ROM Drive***8221; and you will see all the files within the .iso file
Once you finish using the .iso file, you need to Left CLick on the system tray Daemon Tools icon again and select ***8220;Unmount all drives***8221;
Once unmount, you will not see any files in the new CD ROM Drive any more
If you doesn***8217;t use Daemon Tools anymore, you can now ***8220;Set number of devices***8221; to ***8220;disable***8221; and quit the program.
